Paul Eugene Thompson's Obituary
Paul Eugene Thompson, 68, of New Haven, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at home with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Blaine and Nondus (Barrett) Thompson. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. He worked for International Harvester and later for Towne Air Freight, Fort Wayne for 25 years. He loved working on classic cars and sprint car races, especially the Eldora Speedway. He especially loved spending time with family.
He is survived by wife of 50 years, Mary (Davis) Thompson; sons, Matthew and Lucas Thompson; sisters, Carol Webb, Phyllis Paulauski, Katherine (Paul) Reisert, and Mary (Jeff) Landis; and grandsons, Carson and William Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Zachary Thompson in 1995.
Memorial Mass is 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St, New Haven with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Preferred memorials to Parkview Home Health and Hospice or the church.
