Dear Ron, Mike, and family members,
My sincerest condolences on the loss of your Mother.
Pat was truly a unique person. Her sense of humor was remarkable and that laugh of hers will linger in my mind forever. In the nearly thirty years that I knew her, she became more than a friend and was like a mother to me. We shared many good times and a couple of disgruntled ones.
For years we talked and emailed daily, sometimes more than once a day. Our healthy debates over the existence of God began to overwhelm me as she was a very independent thinking, strongly opinionated and vivacious lady. I gave up. I failed my Creator and may have done Pat a great disservice.
I strongly believe in Jesus Christ and my Bible tells me that when we die, “we are asleep in Jesus and will awaken at the Second Coming”. I sincerely hope there will be an opportunity to look up and say, “Yes, Lord”. I cannot imagine eternity without her, out there somewhere in the great beyond.
My prayer is that God will bless each of you and carry you through this sorrowful time,
Sincerely,
Nancy Jo Childrey
Pat had a wonderful sense of humor, her family will have great memories of her laughing and enjoying the time she shared with all of them. She will be missed.
