Patricia L. Augspurger's Obituary
Patricia L. Augspurger, 95, of New Haven, formerly of Woodburn, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Coventry Meadows, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late William and Jane (Martin) Schoppmann. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodburn. She retired in 1990 from Lincoln National Life after 32 years. She enjoyed bowling, Bingo, cross stitch, cheering on IU Basketball, and spoiling her grandson. She welcomed many Fort Wayne visitors with a cookie and a smile at the Fort Wayne Airport, where she was part of their Hospitality Host Program.
She is survived by her children, Ronald (Marcia) Augspurger of Hoagland and Roberta (Edward) Meinzen of Columbia City; grandson, Spencer (Ashley) Augspurger; and great granddaughter, Leah Augspurger. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Max in 2011; and sisters, Norma Thomas, Marguerite Wolcott, Mary Jane Patton, Jerry McMaken, LaVal Panyard, and Joan Nichols.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St, Woodburn with visitation two hours prior (9 to 11am). Burial in the church cemetery.
