O. Duane Stewart's Obituary
O. Duane Stewart, 70, of New Haven passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Duane was born in Orland, IN on November 16, 1942 and was the son of the late Oscar and Rosie Stewart. He served his country in the US Marine Corp. and retired from General Electric after 38 years. He married Terri Stewart on July 23, 1977, who survives. Together they raised four daughters and a son. He enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening, spending time with his grandsons, and watching Purdue basketball.
Survivors also include his children, Kimberly Lau, Melissa (Steve) Lucio, Kristie (David) Klages, and Jeremy Duane Stewart; and grandsons, Aaron Lau and Jobe Carmona. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Hagan.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Eric Pio officiating. Calling is also 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
