Norman Louis Stasell's Obituary
Norman Louis Stasell, 86, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at home with his family by his side. Born in Edgerton, he was the son of the late Leonard and Theresa (Castleman) Stasell. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. Norman retired in 1998 after 44 years as a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Germaine; children, Brad Stasell and Lisa (Dana) Simcox both of Fort Wayne, Mark (Sherri) Stasell of Geneva, IL, and Lori (Marc) Smith of New Haven; sisters, Jeanne Shaffer of New Haven, and Nancy Getty of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Morgan Stasell, Mary, Max, Ben, Grace, and Ruth Simcox, Harrison, and Samantha Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a rosary at 1 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery.
