Norman E Richman's Obituary
Norman E. Richman, 83, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He resided at Golden Years, Fort Wayne for the last year. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Joseph and Esther (Stellhorn) Richman. He married Beverly (Voirol) Richman in 1975. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. He was a co-owner of the Welcome Inn, Hamilton, and was employed by International Harvester and Tokheim Corporation, both in Fort Wayne. He also enjoyed bartending at Three Kings in Hoagland. Norm also enjoyed watching motor racing, playing euchre, and playing bingo. He had raced stock cars at Baer Field and local speedways in the 50’s & 60’s.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy (Ed) Knisely of Quincy, MI, Angela (David) Heriaud of Bellavista AR, Sally (Gary) Kincell of Fayetteville, SC, and Stephanie (Jeff) Collins of Fremont; brother-in-law, Bernard (Linda) Voirol of Monroeville; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife Beverly Richman; son, Monte Richman; grandson, Richard Knisely III, brothers, Weldon, Ervin, and Earl Richman; sisters, June Knefelkamp and Donna Marquardt.
A Celebration of Life 1 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Howard Bandelier VFW 2457, 12700 Dawkins Rd., New Haven with a visitation 1 hour prior. Pastor Dave Trimble officiating. A private burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials to the Norman E. Richman Memorial Fund.
