Norman R. Miller's Obituary
Norman R. Miller, 90, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Heritage of Fort Wayne. Born in Jackson Twp., Steuben County, he was the son of the late Russel and Freida (Smith) Miller. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, New Haven. The US Army veteran served his country during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 330 and Howard Bandelier VFW Post 2457, where he was the past commander. He retired in 1985 from Tokheim with over 40 years and was a past president of American Institute of Industrial Engineers.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy; children, Gary (Karla) Miller of New Haven, Greg (Jo) Miller of Fort Wayne, and Debra Smith of Louisville, KY; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James and Lester Jones, and William Bryant; and sisters, Judy Jones and Jean Mudrack.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E, New Haven with visitation one-hour prior. Pastor David Williamson officiating. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials to Visiting Nurse.
