Ned A. Busche's Obituary
Ned Allen Busche, 80, of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Ashton Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mildred (Boerger) Busche. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He retired in 2017 as the owner and operator of Busche Barber Shop after 40 years. He was a lifelong horse lover, having several as a kid, which he kept behind his dad's gas station here in New Haven. Over the years he participated in barrel racing, and owned a racehorse named "Fanny Jag". He also loved his 1969 El Camino SS, fishing, golfing, spending his summers at their place on Jimmerson Lake, cheering on IU Basketball and the Chicago Cubs; and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Suzanne (Hemsoth) Busche; sister, Janice Krieger; daughters, Amanda (Kevin) Hess, Sarah (Tim) Zolman; step-children, Todd (Penny) Trobaugh and Jennifer Swanson; grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, and Zach Hess, Isaac, Alivia (Ethan Mengel), and Colton Zolman; step grandchildren, Conner and Courtney Trobaugh, Madison (Joey) Sterba and Alexandria Swanson; step great grandchildren, Malcolm and Miles Sterba; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Bonnie Laisure and Denny Busche.
Funeral service is 1 pm Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation three hours prior (10 am to 1 pm). Preferred memorials to Worship Anew or American Heart Association. For online condolences please visit www.harperfuneralhome.com
