Nancy Bischoff Rensberger's Obituary
Nancy Lou Bischoff-Rensberger, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Heritage Park, Fort Wayne. Born on August 1, 1935, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Audrey (Current) Clem. Nancy was raised in New Haven, where she attended New Haven United Methodist Church. She worked at the New Haven Meat Locker, a business owned by her parents.
She married, the love of her life, Virgil Bischoff, Jr. on July 31, 1954, who preceded her in death in 1995. After having children, she chose to become a full-time homemaker, a role she embraced with love and care. Nancy was a talented cook, and her home was always filled with the warmth of family gatherings and cookie making!
In 2000, she married Jerry Rensberger, and were married 17 years until his death. They enjoyed traveling and took trips to Spain, Alaska, Hawaii and many more. Her greatest joy in life came from her family.
The devoted grandmother was blessed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her endless joy and pride.
Nancy's life was a testament to the importance of family, love, and hard work. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved children, Greg Bischoff, Lisa (Chuck) Gladieux, and Linda (Brent) Romines; stepdaughters, Ronda (Rich) Williams and Cindy (Bud) Bogants; brothers, Jim and Gary Clem; grandchildren, Brittany, Brady, Bria, Briley, Austin, Clint, and David; and great grandchildren, Dallas, Kennedy, Myles, Maddox, Mila and Carter. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Breanna; and sister, Carol Leach.
Funeral service is 12 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation two hours prior (10 to 12 p.m.). Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials to the church. For online condolences please visit www.harperfuneralhome.com.
