Nancy Dean Janes' Obituary
Nancy Dean Janes, 84, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at The Waters of Fort Wayne. Born in Continental, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Mary (Pitney) Burill. She was a member of Edgerton Wesleyan Church, Woodburn. She retired from the Allen County Juvenile Center in 2002. Nancy enjoyed playing cards, fishing, traveling, spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, George "Pete" (Alisha), Ronald (Shirley), Everett Jr, Robert (Tammy), and Nanci (Amanda) Janes; 16 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Everett "Bud" Janes in 1991; children, Lonny Janes and Mary McDonald; brother, Alan Burill; and grandchildren, Christopher Janes and Amanda Jefferies.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials to the family, c/o Alisha Janes or Humane Fort Wayne.
