Nancy L Augsburger's Obituary
Nancy L. Augsburger, 70, went home to the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2017, after fighting the good fight with faith and courage for 42 years with her illness. She was the daughter of the late Byron and Ruth (Steingass) Bauer. She was an avid member of the Lifeway Wesleyan Church of Fort Wayne, where she was a member of the choir and the nursing home ministry. She was a registered nurse and was employed at the Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne for 33 years. Nancy enjoyed gardening, sewing, bird watching and reading. She especially loved being with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Samuel (Jenni) Augsburger of Lafayette, and Sara (Robert) Schwartz of New Haven; grandchildren, Caleb, Nathan, and Noah Schwartz; siblings, Larry (Lois) Bauer of Defiance, OH, Marge Lord of Kimmell, Virginia Osborn and Janice (Gene) Cain both of Holgate, OH. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James, and Dan Bauer.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7222 Moeller Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to the service. Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the church.
