Mildred J. (Millie) Brown's Obituary
Mildred J. (Millie) Brown, 89, of Ft. Wayne passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Emeritus Senior Living. Born in Huntington, IN, on July 28, 1924 to the late Harry and Louise Miller. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, and was a former member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and volunteer activities.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Ken) Thiele of Alexandria, MN, Steven (Teresa) Brown of Chicago, IL and Julie (Mark) Braun of Ft. Wayne, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Whitehurst of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Richard M. Brown in 1984; two sisters, Anna Dolby and Alberta Ruth Lang; and a brother, Arthur Miller.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation is before the service from 11 to 1 p.m. at Messiah. Rev. Timothy Graham officiating. Burial in the Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice. Arrangements by E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
