Michael “Mike” Dale Reinking, 69, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Walter and Marie (Augenstein) Reinking. He was a member of S Read Obituary
To the Reinking family:
I remember all you boys from church and school and bus rides with Dad as the bus
driver. Also remember sometimes in the summer your neighbor Julie and me
watching you boys and the Augenstein boys having ball games. May God wrap his
loving arms around you and give you peace.

Our 12 year old granddaughter Maya shared this memory of Mike:
When at the family gathering for Denny Reinking's funeral, Mike came up to our then 9 year old granddaughter...He said, "My name starts with "M" too. Mike had an unusual way of starting conversations, but Maya thought it was funny.
When Tom saw Mike on September 30th, he gave Tom a Halloween egg (one of those toys that grows in water). He bought it for his great nieces/nephew.. I put it in 7 year old Bella's Halloween Bag.
One more story. Mike sent his twin great niece and nephew gift certificates for Christmas but forgot Maya. So when Tom mentioned it to him he sent Maya a gift card. It was an unexpected nice surprise for her.

Mike was vibrant. He was so passionate about his beliefs. He loved his family. His parents, brothers, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, and grand nephews/nieces meant the world to him. From High School to more recently on the steps outside of St. Paul’s, Mike could carry on a lively conversation about any number of topics. He loved his Lord! He will me missed!
The obituary does not state the fact that Mike was an Indiana University grad and life long
IU supporter and fan. I could always count on him to be up to date on what the Hoosiers were doing. I will miss that connection with my brother as well as his honesty(sometimes very brutal). He had a big heart and always remembered my kids birthdays and wondered how they were doing. He also had a deep. abiding faith in Christ and very seldom missed his Sunday worship time at St. Paul as well as his daily devotional time. I will miss him!
From high school to the end,
Mike was true and trusted friend.
I always felt safe and sound with Mike as my next door neighbor. He kept the coast clear for everyone in the Courts of Woodhurst. I will miss him and his beautiful geraniums he planted every spring. Barb Dudding
