Michael Scott Pollos' Obituary
Michael Scott Pollos, 64, of Woodburn, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at home with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne he was the son of the late James and Alene (Dennis) Pollos. He worked at Charter Beacon Hospital, and North American Van Lines moving UN delegates around the world. He also worked at Liberty Construction and Schust Construction, LLC, and was an active member of the Associated Builders and Construction. Mike’s most recent job was with Johnson Controls as an HR safety coordinator for the last 15 years. Many at Johnson Controls remember him playing Santa Clause for 10 years there. He taught OSHA safety regulation classes at IPFW and did CPR training as well. He enjoyed golfing, sports, and rooting for Purdue football and basketball. Mike loved to travel to Florida and to spoil his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Julie (King) Pollos; children, Clint (Tara) Baals, Alexandria (Andrew) Boggs, and Betsy (Jacob) Coomer; sister, Sherry (Art) Anagnostu; 11 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Foxx Baals; brother, Rick Pollos.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation is also 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the funeral home. Preferred memorial to Cancer Services of NE Indiana, or the Associated Builders and Contractors.
