Michael W. Adams' Obituary
Michael W. Adams, 77, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne with his family by his side. Born in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late Alvin “Mike” and Joetta (Jackson) Adams. He was an active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven where he was an usher and volunteer for many events. He was a career draftsman, spending most of his time designing for Fruehauf Trailer Corporation, and The Tokheim Company. Michael proudly served his country in the US Army. He was an avid science fiction fan and enjoyed reading and tinkering around the house. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice (Lillich) Adams; daughters, Michelle (Roger) Shumaker of La Porte, and Annette Adams of Nantucket, MA; siblings, Dennis “Quince” (Becky) Adams and Margarette Miller both of Decatur; granddaughter, Scarlett Morgan of Cleveland; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green Street, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Wearing masks are encouraged at both events. Burial in the church cemetery.
