Max A. Cotner's Obituary
Max A. Cotner, 73, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at The Cedars, Leo. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Donald and Eleanor (Thompson) Cotner. He attended Zion Lutheran Church, Columbia City. He was a US Post Office mail carrier for 30 years and has also worked at Gander Mountain. Max loved fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara; children, Bradley (Tracy) Cotner of New Haven and Myra (Mike) Miller of Butler; brother, Roy (Sherry) Cotner of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Joshua, Meghan, Ashley, and Devon. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Arlynn Cotner.
Funeral Service is 10 a.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Phillip Rittner officiating. Calling is also 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church, Columbia City.
