Max E. Augspurger's Obituary
Max E. Augspurger, 94, of New Haven, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Parkview North Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Woodburn, he was the son of the late Paul and Maude Augspurger. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodburn. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp and was a member of American Legion Post 377. He retired from Rea Magnet Wire Company after 24 years.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia; children, Ronald (Marcia) Augspurger of Hoagland and Roberta (Edward) Meinzen of Columbia City; and grandson, Spencer Augspurger. He was also preceded in death by one brother; and two sisters.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St., Woodburn with calling one hour prior. Pastor Tim Edwards officiating. Calling is also 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Christ Lutheran Church, Woodburn.
