Mary Ann Van Driessche's Obituary
Mary Ann "MAC" Van Driessche, 93, of Fort Wayne, formerly of New Haven, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Park Place Senior Living, Fort Wayne. Born in South Bend, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rachel (Lekens) Connon. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven, the rosary sodality, and alter sodality. She retired in 1997 from IPFW as an administrative assistant after ten years. She was also a member of the New Haven Women's Club, Red Hats, American Legion 330 Auxiliary, Howard Bandelier Post 2457 Auxiliary, Forty and Eight, Harvest House, and enjoyed playing Bunko.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Matthews and Mark (Julie) Van Driessche; grandchildren, Ryan (Heidi), Shaun (Chantel), and Katlyn (Justin) Liggett, Rachel and Jacob Matthews; and great grandchildren, Hudson, Aria, Hazel, Marek, Henry, and Mila. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Raymond J. Van Driessche in 1980; daughter, Linda Marie Van Driessche; and son-in-law, James E. Matthews.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 am Saturday, January 18, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 3 to 6 pm Friday, January 17, 2025, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a rosary service at 2:30 pm.
