Mary Louis Rhoades' Obituary
Mary Louise Rhoades, 81, of Woodburn, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Uniontown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Hazel (Gibson) Jobinger. She was a member of North Scipio Methodist Church, Harlan. She retired in 2004 from Woodlan High School after 34 years. She spent her time volunteering at Dupont and Parkview Hospitals, was a Komet Hockey season ticket holder, enjoyed gardening, and loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (Colleen) Rhoades of New Haven; brother, Herman Jobinger of California; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Rhoades in 2011; and son, Jeffrey Rhoades in 2018.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2023, at North Scipio Methodist Church, 23628 IN-37, Harlan with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan.
