Mary Lou Parker's Obituary
Mary Lou Parker, 58, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Kansas she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lula (Brixey) Gilbert. Mary Lou was a credit collector for the Credit Bureau of Fort Wayne for many years and later enjoyed working part time as a parking attendant in downtown Fort Wayne for Light and Breuning. She was a member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church, New Haven and was a big supporter of WBCL. She enjoyed reading, gardening, her cats, and especially loved spoiling her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, David W. Parker; daughters, JoAnn (Derrick) Fanning, and Carrie (Brian) Buisman both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Linda (Stan) Haywood of Blytheville, AR and Betty Ann (Larry) Willis of Mercer MO; grandchildren, Paul Buisman, Emma Buisman, and Mason Fanning. She was preceded in death by her sister, Evalee Nordyke.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior, Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Lifeway Wesleyan Church.
