Mary Lou Miller's Obituary
Mary Lou Miller, 79, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Raymond and Alvina Williams. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She retired in 1993 from North American Van Lines. She was also a member of Harvest House, the Red Hat Society and several card clubs. Mary also volunteered as a host for the Fort Wayne International Airport, was an avid bowler, and could often be found cheering on her favorite team, the Fort Wayne Komets.
She is survived by her children, Laura (Greg) Blevins of Lilburn, GA, Stephen (Tracy) Miller of Ossian, and Jeffrey (Karen) Miller of Fishers; grandchildren, Chris, Taylor, Aaron, Mary (Scott), Maggie, Evan, and William; great grandson, Tanner; brother, Joseph (Diane) Williams; brother-in-law, Larry McClinton; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband Forrest Miller in 1995; and siblings, Catherine McClinton and John Williams.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling 1 hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or to perform a random act of kindness as Mary Lou often did.
