Mary Louise Marks' Obituary
Mary Louise Marks, 91, of New Haven, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Parkview Hospital - Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born on May 6, 1931, in Stryker, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Cula (Betts) Fitzenrider. She was married to her loving husband Gene for 60 years. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2014. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She loved working at Dan Purvis Drugstore for many years in the Jewelry Department. "Mothers hold their children's hand for a short while, but their hearts forever." - unknown
She is survived by her children, Michael (Jean) Marks of New Haven, Julie (John) Karakaian of Seville, OH, Garen (Sandra Hecht) Marks and Douglas (Vicki) Marks both of Fort Wayne; siblings, Paul and Denver Fitzenrider and Joan Miller; grandchildren, Nick (Sarah) Karakaian, Christine (Jacob) Barnhart and Derek Marks; great granddaughter, Haley Barnhart; and step-grandchildren, Heather (Clark) Lichty and Chad Simcoe. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ernest, Robert, Harry, Clinton, James, Richard, Evelyn and Thelma.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery.
