Martha "Pauline" Black's Obituary
Martha “Pauline” Black, 94, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at New Haven Care and Rehabilitation Center, New Haven. Born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Johnson) Shriver. She was a past member of Maplewood Mennonite Church, Fort Wayne. She retired in 1983 from K-Mart, where she worked for over 8 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Smith of New Haven; sister, Addie Johnson of Minnesota; grandchildren, Jennifer (Nathan) Smith and Corey (Sara) Smith both of New Haven; great grandchildren, Jaden, Angel, August, Gavin, and Sophia; and step-daughter, Janice Cave of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Richard in 1974 and Bernard Cave; and siblings, Douglas Shriver, Sylvia Shriver, Evelyn Buchanan, Madelyn Johnson, and Shirley Nagy.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling two hours prior. Burial in Covington Memorials Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorial are to the American Heart Association.
