Marlene Arda Ellsworth's Obituary
Marlene Arda Ellsworth, 68, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Dupont Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late T. Parker and Adra (Thiry) Ellsworth. She has a Masters of Library Science from Indiana University. She went on to be a librarian at the Huntington City-Township Library and retired as a research librarian from the Cadillac Wexford Public Library in Cadillac, MI in 2000. Marlene spearheaded one of the first recycling programs in Huntington. She had also worked in the congressional office of Congressman J. Edward Roush in Washington DC and was an editor for Army Magazine. Among her many loves were cats and chocolate.
She is survived by her brothers, Timothy Ellsworth of Fort Wayne and Mark (Viann) Ellsworth of New Haven; nephews, Matthew (Nicole), Nathan, and Jonathan Ellsworth all of Fort Wayne; and great nephew, Fitzgerald Ellsworth of Fort Wayne.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling two hours prior to service. Preferred memorials are to Allen County SPCA.
