What a great guy and a loss to us all. He was my coach on football, and my favorite one. He always had us doing push-ups when we didn’t do something right, but made it fun so we didn’t kind! Didn’t know he passed but wanted to convey my sympathy.

Coach Gash was a very dedicated track coach and a fine example for those he coached. I remember him saying rosary every day and forcing us distance runners to lift weights. I'm sure he will be missed. Say hi to Fred Tone and principal Gaughn for us coach.
I have thousands of fond memories of working with Mark. In our three short years of Harding Football, he taught me so much about the game of football . His dedication to the game and to his players was invaluable. Our personal competitions in practice elevated the play of our team in scrimmages. We shared coaching responsibilities, fought over scouting reports, we muscled through the weightlifting, rejoiced in the victories and milestones,...........
We worked through the 0 - 10 Harding football season and turned things around with a great group of Harding athletes the next year and years to come. Mark's love for the game pushed not only the players to success, but the coaching staff as well.
My thoughts, my prayers, my love to Rose Girgash. Your man was a great role model to so many.

Sorry for your loss I remember Mr. Girgash very well he was my PE teacher in High school. He always pushed me to do better ! To this day i still cant do chin ups ,but someday I hope to ! He taught us a lot,even how to square dance his class is where I learned for the first time to get enough courage to ask one of the prettiest girls in class to square dance with me . I know what your family is going through right now because I to have lost many people that I loved and cared about , I just wanted you to know I'am sure there are many people out there that remember him and that have very good memories with him he will be missed ! I had Gash in health class and Phys. Ed. and as a football coach, He could always be counted on to give you a pump or tell a good story, I liked the one about how
He taught his dog to swim. Gash also took great pride in His state champ rings that he always wore. Gash was a good man who gave his heart and soul to BDHS.
I have fond memories of Mr. Gash as my high school gym and health teacher. He'd do "pumps" for us if we were good and asked nicely, always ending with a big smile. That's what I'll always remember him for. My prayers and sympathy to his family.
Mr. Gash was a wonderful teacher! I enjoyed his classes. He taught my gym class, health class and drivers training class. He was always so friendly and could make anyone smile. Coach Girgash was my shot out and discus coach at Harding. Thanks to him I was good enough to get a scholarship to Ball State. He was a very generous man and even gave me rides home when my mom wasn't available. I'm sure he will be missed by many!
