If this is the former Margie Martin I knew, she attended Redford High School in Detroit and her father was a department store executive. I think I first knew her when I sat behind her in Spanish class. Margie was fond of me in high school, and she later came to my college in Ohio as my date for a dance weekend, probably in the spring of 1966. I hope I will be excused for saying that one of my genuine regrets in life was my failure back then to pursue a deeper relationship with Margie. She was en route to becoming an outstanding woman. It's a consolation to know that Margie eventually had such a long and happy family life. How odd that I found myself thinking about her on what turned out to be the exact day of her funeral service.
