Marilyn Ruth Coomer-Dager's Obituary
Marilyn Ruth Coomer-Dager, 86, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at home. Born in Woodburn, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Thelma (Lynde) Becker, and step-mother, Irene (Gerig) Becker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, New Haven, Indiana. Marilyn worked alongside her husband of 55 years, James “Jim” Coomer, farming and running the family business, Coomer Seeds. She is survived by her children, Carol ‘Becky’ (Greg) Garrison of Woodburn, Ruth Pease (Dick Mottinger) of Ohio City, Ohio, Rex (Kelly) Coomer of Woodburn, Michael (Marie) Coomer of Monroeville, Peggy (Brian) Meyer of New Haven; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Marianne (Hugh) Stevenson of Surprise, AZ. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2007; husband, Deloss Dager, in 2011; infant son, Gerry Lee; and siblings, Donald Becker and Betty Reichhart. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Pastor David Trimble and Pastor Dick Baker officiating. Visitation is also from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial is in Lehman Cemetery, Payne, Ohio. Preferred memorials are to the Bread Ministry at First Baptist Church, New Haven.
