Marian J. Jacquay's Obituary
Marian J. Jacquay, 100, of Fort Wayne, formerly of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Canterbury Nursing Home and Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Freida (Muntz) Scheiman. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. She worked at Western Union, J.C. Penney, and Kohls in Northcrest. She also volunteered at Parkview Hospital and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 82.
She is survived by her children, Albert (Becky) Jacquay II, Nancy (James) Fitzgibbons, Justina (Jim) Huhn, and Janette Jacquay; grandchildren, Jacob (Natalee) Jacquay, Ryan (Jenny) Huhn, Melanie (Bryan) Werling, Mitchell (Becca) Jacquay, Michael (Debra) Whitewolfe, Marissa Jacquay, Seth Albert (Jessica) Jacquay, Breanna (Jason) Siegel, Brett Jacquay, Erin (Brian) Scanlon, and James (Teresa) Fitzgibbons; and 20 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Albert in 2014; and siblings, Betty Houck, Elmer and Robert Scheiman; granddaughter, Nicole Cotton.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W State Blvd with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
