Margaret B. Phillips' Obituary
Margaret B. Phillips, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. The Philipsburg, Pa native was the daughter of the late Oliver and Maude Smith. On December 28, 1942 she married Boyd Phillips, the day before he left to serve in the Army during WWII. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1994. Mrs. Phillips lived in Philipsburg until moving to New Haven in 1965. She was a talented seamstress, and upon moving to New Haven she worked at, and retired from Revco Drug Store. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her 3 daughters: Lona (Perry) Young of Waterloo, Kay Truesdell of Auburn, Joanne (Doug) Sawyer of Albion; step-son, Rev. Robert (Sally) Phillips of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren: Jenny(Ted) Meyers of Fremont, Kristi (Mike) Ondrovich of New Carlisle and Jon (Mandy) Young of Waterloo. She is also survived by the loves of her life – her 5 great grandchildren: Emily and Samantha Meyers, Aaron and Ethan Young, and Sarah Ondrovich. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, 5 sisters and infant great granddaughter, Nora Young.
Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at E. Harper and Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Ronald McDonald House.
