Margaret Louise Moore's Obituary
Margaret “Marge” Louise Moore, 85, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at home with her family by her side. Born November 26, 1932 in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Vachon) Schrader. Margaret married Vaughn “Duey” Moore on June 14, 1952. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2006. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Rosary Sodality, Adams Havenettes Extension Club, and the Red Hat Society. Margaret volunteered at St. John’s school and at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She is survived by her children, Timothy of Stafford, VA, Stephen of Fort Wayne, Phillip (Deb) of Columbia, TN, Douglas (Gin) of Fort Wayne, Daniel (Renee) and David (Melanie) both of New Haven; daughters, Deborah (Bob) Jackson of Yoder, Joni (Jack) Fleckenstein of Fort Wayne, Diana (Bruce) Kraning of Ossian, and Jennifer Pearce of Chandler, AZ; brother, Donald (Kate) Schrader of Fort Wayne; sisters, Jeanette Durbin of Lancaster, PA and Mary (DeWayne) Merckx of Mishawaka; sisters-in-law, Mary Joe Schrader of Auburn, Wanda Schrader of Fort Wayne, and Marlene Schrader of New Haven; 23 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and also her special Toby. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Paul, and John; and sister, Irene Ferrier.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a prayer vigil at 3 p.m. and a rosary service at 8:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Masses, St. John the Baptist Church Building Fund, or Visiting Nurse and Hospice, Fort Wayne.
