Margaret P. Mattingly's Obituary
Margaret P. Mattingly, 87, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Adam's Heritage, Monroeville. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Kathryn (Knerr) Lothamer. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. A beautician for 63 years, she was also a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Bunnell; grandchildren, Joel (Brittany) Bunnell and Leesa (Brandon) Bledsoe; great grandsons, Wren, Emry, and Leo Bunnell and Beau Bledsoe; sister-in-law, Doris Mattingly; nieces and nephews, Pat, Zack (Jena), and Kathryn Lothamer, and Jacquline Lothamer-O'Connell; and trusted friends, Shorts, Russ, and Michelle. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert "Bob" in 2018; granddaughter, Lindsey Bunnell; son-in-law, John Bunnell; brother, John "Tom" (Darlene) Lothamer; and brothers-in-law, William and Richard Mattingly.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Burial in the church cemetery.
