Mabel Barfell's Obituary
Mabel Barfell, 94, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Minnie (Lepper) Rohrbaugh and a lifelong resident of New Haven. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. She worked for Waterfield Mortgage. She enjoyed quilting and the outdoors but she especially enjoyed her family. She was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her children, Lana (Paul) Clements of Eugene, OR and Tom (Eileen) Barfell of New Haven; loving companion, John Lund of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Wade, Aaron, and Scott Clements, Ben (Melissa) Barfell, Nick (Caterine) Barfell, Rachel (Stephen) Scharafin, Jack Barfell; 3 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Alvin Rohrbaugh, Lorrain Schumacher, and Helen Hostetler; grandchild, Farley Clements.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor David Stecker officiating. Calling is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in I.O.O.F Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Heartland Hospice or the church.
