M. Virginia (Ginny) Lantz's Obituary
M. Virginia (Ginny) Lantz, 86, died Friday, December 16, 2011 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne. Born in Shreveport, LA, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Verna (Lewis) Simmons. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post #330 Auxiliary, Senior Tap Dance Group, the Rhythmettes, and the New Haven Women's Club.
She is survived by her sons, Michael R. (Judith) Lantz and Daniel L. Lantz both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, and Ian Lantz; four great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Frank J. Lantz in 2009 and a brother, Byron Simmons.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Rick Taylor officiating. Calling is also 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to New Haven United Methodist Church.
