Lowell E Brueck's Obituary
Lowell E. Brueck, 89, of Woodburn, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital Downtown, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Arthur and Helen (Rodenbeck) Brueck and grew up on a farm along the Maumee River in Riverhaven. Lowell was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where he was an usher, served on the cemetery committee, and was a volunteer at Emanuel’s New Haven Food Bank for many years. He was a 1954 graduate of New Haven High School and went on to receive his associates degree from International Business College in Fort Wayne in 1957. Lowell served his country in the US Army from 1959 to 1961 and was stationed at Warner Barracks in Bamberg Germany. He was a bookkeeper and accountant in his early career, working for Wayne Pump Company, Platka Export Company, and Phelps Dodge. He went on to farm in Woodburn for over 22 years and was a school bus driver for East Allen County Schools for 36 years. He is survived by his sons, Scott and Gregg Brueck; brothers, Oliver and Eugene Brueck; and granddaughters, Shannon, Megan, and Amara Brueck. Memorial service is 10:30 am Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Inurnment in the church cemetery with military honors. Preferred memorials to Emanuel Lutheran Food Bank, New Haven. Arrangements by Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
