Loretta A Sorg's Obituary
Loretta A. Sorg, 90, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Louise Maldeney Bowers. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She worked at Rea Magnet Wire, Fort Wayne and also worked at Luginbill Wire and Die Company, New Haven, where she later retired. Loretta was a member of the church Alter and Rosary Society. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and playing cards. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Hubert Sorg; Children, Mark (Becky) Sorg and Kay (Don Etchegorry) Sorg, both of New Haven; brother, Francis Bowers of New Haven; grandsons, Nick and Nate Sorg; and great grandchildren, Oliver, Graham, and Delilah Sorg. She was preceded in death by her 10 siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling a half hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorial are to masses, and to the church.
