Lois I. Northey's Obituary
Lois Irene (Kilpatrick) Northey, 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Parkview Hospital - Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Payne, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Helen (Ruger) Kilpatrick. She was a member of Crossbridge Community Church, formerly known as Park Forest Church of God, Fort Wayne. She had worked at Michiana College, Lincoln Life, was a Girl Scout leader, volunteered with the local Republican party and extensively at church in the nursery and the Women's Ministries. She enjoyed doing and teaching crafts, sewing, gardening, genealogy, reading, and spending time with her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Alvin) Brooker of White Plains, MD, Sara (Scott) Leatherman of Fishers, Rebecca (Bruce) Colbert of Fort Wayne, and Deborah (Steven) Strahan of Galesburg, MI; brother, John (Barbara) Kilpatrick of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Christi (Michael) Arnold, Sara (Marc) Capistrant, Morgan (Sean) Bailey, Benjamin (Madison) Leatherman, Marissa (Jordan) Chitwood, Ian Leatherman, Amy Leatherman, Austin Strahan, Meridith Colbert, and Colton Strahan; great grandchildren, Michael, Lucas, and Nicholas Arnold, and Uriah Chitwood; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Richard Northey Jr.in 2007; son, Richard Northey III; and siblings, Erwin, Herbert, and Howard Kilpatrick, and Donna Kuhn. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
