Lois McMahon's Obituary
Lois McMahon, 91, of New Haven passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Macon, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Bessie (Ater) Kreager. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, New Haven. She retired in 1982 from International Harvester-Navistar after 31 years of service. Lois was a strong Democrat and volunteered for many years at the election polls. She was also an active member of the UAW #305. She is survived by her children, Sharon Vreeland of Fenton, MI, Dawn Meek of New Haven, and Gary McMahon of Knoxville, TN; siblings, Leota Beemer, Christine Williams both of Fort Wayne, and Robert Claus of Fremont; seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Woodrow McMahon in 1996. Funeral service is Tuesday at 10:00 a.m at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Monday at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to New Haven United Methodist Church.
