Linda D. Velez's Obituary
Linda D. Velez, 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Berne, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lyndall (Burkett) Velez. She attended St. Jude's Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. She was a welder at Patton Electric for 12 years, worked in several restaurants, and has been with Anthony Wayne Services since 2002. She enjoyed painting, horses, taking walks, and country western music.
She is survived by her siblings, George (Rosie) Velez, Norma Todaro, Patricia (John) Hartman, Joyce Tinkham, and Elizabeth (Clayton) Sanderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Janice Grotian, Rita Cornerstone, Richard and Raymond Velez.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Cemetery, 5790 E 1100 S, Geneva. Preferred memorials are to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements by Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
