Leo Howard King's Obituary
Leo Howard King, 76, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at home with his family by his side. Born in Flemingsburg, Ky., he was the son of the late Everett and Edith (Grandstaff) King. He retired as an Ironworker in 2003 from Don R. Fruchey Inc after 37 years and was a member of Ironworkers Union Local 147. He enjoyed golfing, drinking beer with family and friends, and spending his winters at Fort Myers Beach, Fla.
He is survived by his children, Rickie (Rhonda) King, Ron (Tina) King, Tammy (Jack) Fielitz, and Jeff (Carey) King; stepchildren, Kelly (Sam) Bender, Amy (Keith Osborn) Simkins, Brian (Jodi) Christiansen, Carla (Rod Arnold) Jackson, Chris Meek; siblings, Sharon White, Ron and Don King, and Sue McAtee; ten grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Becky in 2021; and siblings, Glenn, Jerry, Jack and Merrill Landis, Mike King, Barb Mason, Dixie Emerson, and Connie Bonjour.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior to service.
