Lawrence R. "Larry" Vorndran's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” R. Vorndran, 80, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at New Haven Care and Rehabilitation, New Haven. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna Vorndran. He was a member St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. He served his country in the US Navy and retired from Zollner Corp. in 2001 after 35 years. The sports lover raced cars and was an avid mechanic. He especially loved spending time with his grandsons.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (nee Vondran) Vorndran; daughters, Laura (Doug) Schmucker of New Haven and Leanne (Michael Willman) Vorndran of Fort Wayne; siblings, Richard "Dick" Vorndran and Mary Ann (Donald) Lantz; and grandsons, Evan and Logan Schmucker. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Vorndran; and siblings, Eugene Vorndran, Alice Parsons, and LaDonna Nelson.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling two hours prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the family for a monument.
