LaVerne Sophia Stein's Obituary
LaVerne Sophia Stein, 92, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Woodview Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Heiman. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She retired from Fort Wayne Drug.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Sandra J. Stein of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Alan (Stacy) Stein and Andrea (Joel) Harmeyer both of Fort Wayne; great grandchildren, Savannah and Katherine; and great great grandchild, Kaiden. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Rudy in March 2014; son, Ronald A. Stein; and siblings, Lucile Brinkman, Ella Amstutz, Lorena Heiman, Frieda Carey, Emma Keltsch, and Henry Heiman.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Concordia Cemetery Gardens Chapel, 5300 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior followed by burial. Pastor Mark Neubacher. Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut-ins.
