Laura A. Reichhart's Obituary
Laura A. Reichhart, 83, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at New Haven Care and Rehabilitation, New Haven. Born in Woodburn, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Sidonia (Knoblauch) Norden. She was a lifelong and active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodburn, where she participated in the Christ Lutheran Women, and the church choir. She was also a member of the Senior Saints Choir at Grabill Missionary Church and was an Allen County 4-H leader for over 20 years. She retired in 2012 as owner of Reichhart Builders, Inc. and spent over 30 years as a daycare provider to the children that lovingly knew her as “Mumsie”.
She is survived by her children, Ronald (Pam) Reichhart of New Haven, Robert Reichhart of Fort Wayne, Kristine (Danny) McKay of Woodburn, and Gary (Dawn) Reichhart of Avilla; siblings, Kathryn (Larry) Graves and Walter (Dani) Norden; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Donald Reichhart in 1988; and brother, Paul Norden.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St., Woodburn with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Timothy Edwards officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Christ Lutheran Church or Woodburn Fire Department.
