Larry Joe Watson's Obituary
Larry Joe Watson, 67, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late James and Roberta (England) Watson. He was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church. He retired in 2019 from Fort Wayne Wire Die after 46 years. He enjoyed golfing, softball and bowling. An avid sports fan, he could be found cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, IU Basketball and Notre Dame Football. He and his wife also loved to travel and have visited 48 states. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Maureen (Glus) Watson; siblings, Marilyn Heckman of Chattanooga, TN, Cindy Woolf of McCordsville, James Watson of Inman, SC, Linda (Jody) Toole of Graceville, FL, Cheryl McKinney of Fort Wayne, and Deb (Karl) Gerz of Ossian; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Ryan Watson. Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Monday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Funeral service will also be streamed on the Harper's Community Funeral Home Facebook page. Visitation is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
