Larry Alan Davies' Obituary
Larry Alan Davies, 71, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Harry and Mildred (Weller) Davies. He was a member of St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, Fort Wayne and Knights of Columbus #12379. He served his country in the Army Reserve. He retired from Zollner Corp. after 37 years, was the owner and operator of L.A. Davies Concrete, Inc., Hoagland, and was also a former real estate agent. Larry enjoyed his family and grandchildren, working with his hands and antique tractors.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ragene; children, Bradley (Michelle) Davies and Kimberly (Kevin) DeWald both of Fort Wayne; siblings, Roger (Betty) Davies, Jack (Barbara) Davies, Brian Davies, and Harriet (Michael) Follis all of Fort Wayne, Sister Judith Davies O.S.F. of Joliet, IL; and grandchildren, Kameron, Kaden, and Kailey DeWald; Danielle, Stephanie, Nicholas, and Christopher Abouhalkah. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Rosemary Davies.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, 11337 US 27, Fort Wayne with calling 1 hour prior to service. Father William Kummer officiating. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil at 4 p.m. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church General Fund.
