Kay G Sovine's Obituary
Kay G. Sovine, 59, of New Haven, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Dorothy Alles and the late DeVon Alles who passed away in 2017. She was an active member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne. She was a Process Engineer at Canon Business Process Services, based out of New York. Kay enjoyed quilting, gardening, traveling, and hosting parties. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.
She is also survived by her husband of 38 years, Jeffrey Sovine; children, Ellen (Ben) Hartwig, and Adam Sovine; siblings, Mark (Kathy) Alles, Chris (Kim) Alles, Ann (Ron) Kreienbrink, and Nancy (Barry) O’Shaughnessey; grandchildren, Jack Hartwig, and twins Otis and Dalles Hartwig. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Vicki Ritenour, and Tim Alles. Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2023, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1105 Calhoun St., Fort Wayne with visitations one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E. Burial in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to the church or the Grandchildren College Fund. Make checks out to Ellen Hartwig and add memo "Grandchildren's College Fund."
