Kathy Mae Rekeweg's Obituary
Kathy Mae Rekeweg, 68, of Woodburn, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at home with her family by her side. Born in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Zelma (Davis) Davis. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Woodburn, where she helped with daycare on Sunday mornings. She was with Aeroquip, New Haven for ten years and was previously a CNA and teachers assistant at Kiddie Prep Preschool. She enjoyed riding horses and being outdoors. An avid animal lover, she was known for nursing strays back to health. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and attending their games and concerts.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry, children, Jennifer (Scott) Whitacre, Julie (Eric) Noonan, and Jessica (Matthew) Reynolds; siblings, Robert Davis and Carol (Tim) Kreitzer; and grandchildren, Kent Whitacre, Caleb, Colton, and Catelynn Noonan, Landon, Maddie, and Ava Reynolds. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Davis in 2023.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, 7616 Bull Rapids Rd, Woodburn with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is 4 to 8 pm, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery.
