Karen E. Schwarz's Obituary
Karen E. Schwarz, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Donna (Graeber) Elwood. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, where she previously was a Sunday school teacher and assisted at the school. Karen loved writing poetry and her cats. She especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Stephen; children, William (Stephanie) Schwarz and Tania Schwarz both of Fort Wayne; and her granddaughter, Breanna. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey Schwarz; and brother, Michael Elwood.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 7819 Decatur Rd., Fort Wayne with visitations one hour prior to service. Pastor Michael Trombley Officiating. Visitation is also 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Entombment at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to the Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Trinity Lutheran Church.
