Karen S. Casey's Obituary
Karen S. Casey, 65, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Decatur, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Clara (Nahrwold) Scherer. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She was a travel consultant for 33 years and was a member of the Tokheim Golf League for several years. Karen enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, John; children, Erin, Michelle, and John Jr. (Mica Dohrman) Casey all of Fort Wayne; brother, Dale (Judy) Scherer of Decatur; and grandchildren, Ayden Casey, and Bryce and Kaeli Dohrman.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Pastor Steve Ahlersmeyer officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorial are to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
