June Rose Hockemeyer's Obituary
June R. Hockemeyer, 92, passed away on Good Friday, April 2, 2021 at Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne, where she resided for the last 9 years. She was born on September 11, 1928 to the late George and Rose (Felger) Rohlfing in Fort Wayne. She married the love of her life, the late Harold Hockemeyer on May 23, 1948. Harold passed away January 12, 2010 after 62 years of marriage. She worked in quality control at Fort Wayne Wire & Die for 19 years and retired in 1986. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Flatrock Church, Monroeville. She enjoyed going on adventures and vacations with her husband to Florida. There she loved to play cards and golf. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Lutheran Life Villages for their devoted and loving care.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Teresa) Hockemeyer and Sandra (Mark) Timm both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Chris Seeley, Kelly (Andrew) Filipowicz, Angie (Fred) Perry and Ryan Hockemeyer; 5 great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Freeman Rohlfing, Erleen Miller, and Wanda Ruch. Funeral service is Monday 9:30 a.m. at Concordia Cemetery Gardens. The service is private by request of the family. Preferred memorials to St. John Flatrock Church, Monroeville or Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne.
