Julie A. Redding, 49, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne after courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She loved helping people which led to her career as a registered nurse at Parkview Hospital for 23 years. A lover of life, she enjoyed traveling and eating out with her family. Every winter she and her family, who were her pride and joy, would take a weekend excursion to a hotel, where they enjoyed swimming and shopping. This movie lover could often be found watching a favorite flick with her cat Lincoln Fourpaws.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Wayne; children, Nicholas and Madelyn Redding both of Fort Wayne; parents, Kenneth and Shirley Luttenbacher of Fort Wayne; and brother, James Luttenbacher of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Whitney and Josephine Luttenbacher; and in-laws, Dick and Iris Schlund.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Pastor Steve Ahlersmeyer officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
